Wellbeing Within - The forgotten domain

The impact of emotions
So you think your mind has nothing to do with your health? Well just think for a moment about a
time when you were really upset or anxious - How did your physiology respond? Did you lose
your appetite, did you eat voraciously? Did you lose sleep? Did you want to sleep all the time?

Its unequivocal that the central nervous system impacts our physiology, our hormones our sugar
levels and even our blood supply. This sort of stress, over many months or years, has a depleting
effect on the vitalty of the cells organs and systems of the body.

Emotions and the thoughts that affect our emotional wellbeing are a fundamental part to health,
balance and vitality.

A Naturopath can use natural medicines to support the proper function of the stress coping
hormones, and in particular the adrenal’s. Adrenals suffer enormously when excessive stress loads
causes it to over secrete adrenalin and cortisol to adapt to the life challenges. Most people
living a busy 24/7 lifestyle have adrenal stress and or sleeping disorders that affect the hormones
which govern happy mood and disposition.

Then there are very specific times when the mind and emotions require extra support: For example:
during periods of high stress work performance, study, sports, athletics, fertility or
when trying to get pregnant, illness change of job, partner, illness in the family, death and dying.
